County Health Profiles

Since 2006 The Health Councils has prepared a county health profile for each of the seven counties it serves. The profiles are updated each year. Each profile provides a snapshot of the major indicators of the health status of residents in the county. The data contained in the profile is gathered from many sources and is displayed in tables and graphs for ease of the user. Data elements include: general demographics (age, sex, race), socioeconomics (income, unemployment, educational level, health care costs), federal designations (professional shortage areas), leading causes of death, maternal and child health (birth rates, prenatal care, immunizations), healthcare access, and utilization of resources (hospitals, nursing homes and emergency rooms).  For more information please click on Data Reports & Publications at the top of this page.
