Lead Safe Work Practices

 

As part of the Health Council of West Central Florida's LEAP project,

this FREE training will be held on May 22, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Bob Crawford Agricultural Center, 605 East Main Street in Bartow, FL.

Provided by The Training Network and the National Paint and Coatings Association, this training follows the current HUD-EPA cirriculum.  This course is targeted toward people who work in construction/renovation, givernment, community housing organizations, as well as the general homeowner.

Emergency Preparedness Conference for Persons with Disabilities in Tampa on May 21st

The conference will be on Wednesday, May 21st from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Higgins Hall (St. Lawrence Parish) 5225 N. Himes Avenue (corner Himes and Hillsborough). Persons with disabilities, their families and caregivers should attend. There will be presentations and exhibits by Hillsborough Emergency Operations Center, Tampa Police Department, American Red Cross, Department of Health, Self Reliance, Hillsborough County ADA Office and St. Joseph’s Hospital. Chief Meteorologist Steve Jerve of News Channel 8 and Anchor Reginald Roundtree of Tampa Bay’s 10 will be speakers. There will be time for questions from the audience after each presentation. CART services will be provided.
