Care Council Member Training
Staff design and carry out a training program for the voluntary members of the eight county Ryan White Care Council and its nine committees. The program includes orientation for new members, two annual retreats and technical training related to specific work products. Past topics include: doing a focus group, the role of committee chairs, the Ryan White Care Act, comprehensive planning, needs assessment elements, team building, and conflict resolution. A training manual, PowerPoint presentations, guest presenters and other tools are used to insure that the members have the skill to carry out their mandated duties under this federally funded program.
